Home

What doesn't change, ever and for months and years together, is this one place. I seem to have been here all the time, the morning marketing list for vegetables, and my Baba getting back fishes and sweets, despite them being not on the list, here is where everyday there is a ruckus on some telephone bill getting lost, brother cribbing on whatever Ma cooks, monkeys ravaging our garden (and Grandma driving them out) - flowers, mangoes and guavas.

Here is the dreaming tree.

Half a dozen people, dozen food prefences, dysfunctional tv, four cacophonous phones, fridge always decked with all the food in the world I wouldn't eat, a dozen food containers, half of them empty, neighbours' bickerings, sister's jealousy, this is the ultimate family show.

Waking up to Baba's one hour soliloquy on laziness at 7 am (which is somehow related to grades, losing cell phones and certificates and heedless expenses), or brother sprinkling water on my face at 5 pm, it has always been the same.

Love it the way it has always been :)

you are lucky...the day it changes will be so painful. to feel lost at home is terrible, afterall, it's home, right?
Live it to the max while you can and while it lasts.
